Nine seasons in the paddock taught me one thing: you don't fight nerves. You train them.
I coach motorcycle racers, racing drivers, and founders who operate under serious consequences. No corporate hype. No motivational speeches. Practical nervous system regulation built for the moment the visor drops.
Behind the pit wall since 2016.
I didn't arrive in motorsport from an academic psychology department. I spent years trackside in the cold at Snetterton, Brands Hatch, and Silverstone, listening to riders come in off FP2 frustrated that their practice pace vanished the moment qualifying tyres went on.
Most coaching tells athletes to “just relax” or “stay positive”. When you are sitting on a 200 bhp superbike waiting for red lights to extinguish, that advice is useless. Your heart is racing because your brain is actively trying to keep you alive.
The method I developed at Camino Coaching treats tension as data, not as a flaw. We give racers mechanical protocols to down-regulate arousal levels in seconds, bringing visual focus back into the room so they can race with instinct rather than panic.
How I work with racers and leaders
Three strict operating standards that govern every single rider and driver relationship.
Feel It First
If you cannot feel the physiological shift in your breathing and hands within two minutes, the tool does not work. We do not do theoretical coaching.
De-Villain the Body
Your nerves are not your enemy. They are an ancient survival mechanism firing at the wrong intensity. We teach you how to dial the volume down, never fight it.
Measured Outcomes
Every session has a measurable benchmark on track: sector consistency, recovery after mistakes, or tyre management under pressure. We track results.
