From corporate stress to flow state

Meet Craig Muirhead, flow performance coach and founder of Camino Coaching.

In 2016 I left a stressful 25-year corporate career and walked Spain’s Camino de Santiago. I’d just turned 50 and knew I wanted a change, but not what it was. A 550-mile walk across Spain in August sounded like a good start — and it was.

That journey gave birth to Camino Coaching: helping people find their highest performance through flow.

I didn’t set out to be a traditional coach. After early work with business leaders and executive teams, I realised I was meant to work with competitors who’d lost their edge — racers stuck in their own heads, searching for flow, consistency and confidence.

“I decided I wanted to help a racer who has lost his mojo find a second a lap.”

So I went back to school and trained in the principles of peak performance and flow state. Today I work with riders and drivers across the world — from grassroots to MotoGP and WorldSBK — to transform their mental approach, overcome setbacks, and deliver under pressure.

25 years before the paddock

After 25-plus years across the UK, Dubai (BMW), Switzerland (private equity) and the UK again (an Italian motorcycle manufacturer), plus nine seasons inside elite paddocks, I’ve seen the identical pressures behind race wins and market wins.

“The challenge of a successful race weekend and the challenge of a successful business are identical.”

For leaders who want to perform at their best when it matters, that’s what Executive Flow is for.
